Accessibility

Everyone is welcome here

Every Child Achieves is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology.

Our commitment

Accessibility is part of who we are. We serve children with developmental differences and their families, and we believe our website should reflect the same inclusive care we bring to every home visit. We work to make this site perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for all visitors.

Standards we follow

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. Accessibility is reviewed as part of our ongoing website maintenance rather than as a one-time project.

Measures we have taken

  • Semantic page structure with a single main landmark and ordered headings.
  • A "Skip to main content" link for keyboard and screen reader users.
  • Visible focus indicators on every link, button, and form field.
  • Meaningful text alternatives for images and labels for icon-only buttons.
  • Color combinations chosen to meet minimum contrast ratios.
  • Forms with clear labels, required-field indicators, and announced error messages.
  • Layouts that reflow for magnification, small screens, and touch targets.
  • Respect for reduced-motion preferences set in your device or browser.

Known limitations

Some content hosted by third parties, such as external portals or documents we link to from partner agencies, is outside our control and may not meet the same standard. If you encounter a barrier on one of those resources, let us know and we will help you get the information another way.

Tell us about a barrier

If any part of this website is difficult to use, or if you need information in an alternate format, please send us a message and describe the page and the difficulty. We aim to respond within five business days and to provide the information you need in a format that works for you. You may also write to us at 26701 McBean Parkway #130, Valencia, CA 91355.

Formal complaints

We take accessibility feedback seriously and will work with you directly to resolve any concern. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division regarding ADA compliance.
